My wife and I purchased this kayak and it was a great choice what we needed. It was affordable and durable and we look forward to taking it out again.

  • I purchased the two pack for my three and seven-year-old daughters. A seven-year-old fit perfectly in this bed. I was worried she would be too big for it, as the max it says is recommended is 48” I believe. She is 50” at 7 yr old. So this is her laid out straight but she sleeps curled up in the fetal position anyways so it was a great. They both tend to slink off normal blow up mattresses, so having this inflatable border kept them on the bed and it just feels extra cozy. They are two separate pieces, so you could even use just the mattress. We’ll probably do that camping. The pump it comes with is awful, we have a foot pump so we used that. But after this first trip with them, I realize how much faster and efficient an electric pump will be. It will inflate and deflate! So I’ll be ordering that next. It comes with bags for the beds which is so handy. Totally recommend.

  • Very strong and supportive, I weigh 280 lbs.! Like the deep blue color (color in pic is lighter, it is med. dark). I bought the suggested pump (INTEX), and it worked well. Hasn't leaked. I could have filled it so it was very full but left it less than full so it would be more stable when lying on top. So far, so good. It is temp bed for me till I buy a perm one. Thanks, DennyBoy.

A must have for all camping trips. This is a very affordable option for pumps. I do have a manual backup just in case, but whenever possible this one is the obvious choice. The speed of this verses a manual pump is laughable and does not leave me breathless. Because we have this option, I get to have a nicer (larger) air mattress! Wish it were a silent version and also had the option of a wall bracket, but for the price and the reliability - it is a winner!

  • I admit I ordered these for the color (green) thinking they would be a one & done use, I was very surprised and delighted that I was wrong. I ordered them months ago for my daughters college graduation party (University of Oregon)they were an absolute hit, the kids loved them and the mom's well let's just say I had a hard time getting the mom's out of them, lol!!! I ended up leaving them for the incoming Seniors to use and ordered 2 more for a grad party we are having @ our home. Thanks for the huge surprise and for making a product especially plastic that is so durable and incredibly comfortable. I've included a few photo's from the event!

I was really excited to get this Kayak and start getting out on the lake. I was also extremely careful with it, never running it aground, only used the hand pump to inflate it and always watching out for things that could snag it in the water, so I was really surprised to try to inflate it for only the sixth time and find that it had developed a small hole right on TOP of the floor. The hole is a small tear that developed due to a weak spot where the machine heat weld had sandwiched the layers together. The product is advertised as having a 90 day manufacturer warranty and comes with a consumer booklet stating that in the box. Since I was still within that time frame, I tried to reach out to Intex first. I first called them and got hung up on (after holding extensively), then I used their website to send an email request, after another week went by with no response, I called again. Finally, I spoke with a rep there who said they won't cover it, they do have a warranty but they ONLY cover stuff you buy DIRECTLY from Intex. Since they are the manufacturer and MOST of their products are purchased through resale, I can't see how anyone is really covered by this supposed warranty and they shouldn't be allowed to say there is one. Rest assured this will be the last time I ever purchase anything Intex, I also have two air mattresses, one inflates into an arc and is stretched out in parts of it so much that it's 3 inches fatter on one end than the other. Other things I'd like to add about its functionality: It is really sturdy and almost impossible to tip, even getting in and out. It also comes with a removable keel which makes it a lot easier to track in the water but it is not very fast or highly maneuverable, it's an upgrade from a raft but not really much of a kayak, hard to paddle against the current. (Other people in inflatable kayaks were literally able to do circles around me). Working against the keel is the two ends that inflate into a point, they get caught in the wind and try to take you that direction. It's heavy and awkward to lug around, the bag did hold up except for the zipper which came apart the first time I unzipped it. It's hard to inflate the seats then get them sealed up before they deflate again. This meant that they did not actually give you any lift off the floor, which was one of the main reasons I chose this model. I have back problems and it is a lot harder on my back to be level with my feet. It's very WIDE and the paddles are standard length, this means that you have to make more effort and have an exaggerated motion with the paddle.

    Misleading marketing...only received one!

  • We have a Seahawk 4 and broke a paddle last year. We needed a replacement for our river trip this year and these worked perfectly. The only downside is unscrewing the shafts can be hard after use, because that have to be tight or the flex too much. Took a little muscle to unscrew them after the trip.

  • To this day? This boat is under warranty with asurion! I have been ping ponged back and forth between intexdiscount.com and Asurion and neither of them will refund this defective item! Now, this product remains under warranty and claims to seat 4 people. This boat was sent to me without oars. I asked the seller to send me them and even though it is under warranty? They would not. I was ping ponged back and forth between intexdiscount.com and Asurion and no one ever sent me any oars, the seller told me they would not be sending me any, either. Granted, at the time? This is under warranty with Asurion! This year? We inflated the boat and I have video of 4 children not being able to fit in the boat whatsoever, the boat deflating, almost drowning all 4 children in it. My niece has a video of the time it was inflated to the time it deflated and almost killed all 4 children that it claims to be able to accommodate. I have screenshots with this seller, promptly denying sending me any oars, even though the boat is and was under warranty with Asurion. Now? It is time that we hand everything over to our attorney. I have still not been able to get a refund for this defective item that never remained inflated on video and almost killed 4 children that could not even fit in it. Thank God they were wearing life jackets! I have a warranty with Asurion. I bought it through intexdiscount.com. Again, after this happened? They ping ponged me back and forth each other telling me I needed to talk to the other for a refund. The seller refuses from day 1 of me receiving this boat without oars to give me a refund, as well. There is no where left to turn but to an attorney for negligence. Give me the refund for this boat! It is still under warranty! Or I will have my attorney sue intexdiscount.com, Asurion and Intel. Some one is going to give me a refund or they’re going to give me a whole lot more than that for 4 children almost losing their lives on video and for never sending me oars for the boat at all and for claiming that it seats 4 adults when 4 children cannot even fit in it.

  • I love this air mattress! I recently moved out of my exs house and was couch surfing between finding a new place and this air mattress is a life saver!it’s very sturdy and fits three people if you sleep sideways which is possible if you’re all short like me and my friends. It doesn’t sag in the middle when you wake up in the morning like every other air mattress I’ve slept on and I’m over 200 lbs. the attached air pump is easy to use and so convenient! The cord sometimes is hard to put back in the little hole but doesn’t matter to me. It is supported in the middle and pretty comfortable and made out of thick material so I don’t think there will be any holes anytime soon! It’s also tall so about the night of a normal bed + bedframe. All in all very pleased with this purchase, if I had a mattress topper I’d consider using it as a real bed in my new place haha

  • I slept on this bed for one month on the floor while I was visiting family. It was so comfortable! Just like a regular mattress on a standard bed. Inflated and deflated so easily. Never lost any air in that entire month! My puppy loved it too!!

  • This is JUNK! We have slept on it one time! It deflated three times during the night and we had to blow it back up each time. We have even blown it up in our home and left it thinking maybe it just needs time to adjust, but it STILL deflated! To take it even a step further, we blew up the mattress at home again and sprayed it with soapy water in hopes of finding a hole with no luck. We tried contacting the manufacturer and they will not replace. Picture attached shows the mattress just blown up and left alone and STILL DEFLATES! Do NOT Purchase!!

  • We are experienced Kayakers who have other hard sit on top and sit in kayaks. This was our first inflatable. For the price of admission, ours turned out to be a great purchase. We use it on vacation, so that we don’t have to carry our expensive kayaks on our vehicle for hundreds or thousands of miles, and worry about them getting stolen when we camp. We have used our Intex Explorer on the ocean inlet canals in Murrel’s Inlet, SC and it works great for that. Smooth water with some current. Our limit is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours before we feel cramped and need to take a break by getting out of the yak. I am 6’ and wife is 5’ 8”. This kayak is a little short for two people our sizes, but anything significantly longer is a lot more money so we make due. The Explorer K2 tracks well using the included skeg and when good paddling technique is used. When we paddle hard and fast in unison, it tracks very straight and is speedy enough. When letting off and ceasing all paddling, it will drift and the rear will start to swing out some. Not a big deal. The materials used seem durable enough for the price point. The only thing we really would like changed would be the inflation valves on the floor and on the front and rear bow and stern covers leave a little to be desired. They are the cheap little clear flip out valves like are used on inflatable pool toys. The other valves to inflate the sides the are the nice kind of valves that don’t let air escape when you pull the air pump out after inflating. Again, for the price point we figure they have to cut corners somewhere, and these are the areas they did. But all in all this is an amazing value for the money. We are done with set up and inflation using the included pump within 10-12 minutes, and deflation is even quicker. If we find we start using the Intex more and more, we may upgrade at some point to a longer (like 12-13 ft) inflatable kayak. If Intex made one, we’d buy it today. So if you want the convenience of a kayak you can take with you anywhere (comes with it’s own bag), and you want in for low cost, the Explorer K2 is a good way to go! Good deal for 13$. Mattress is firm but haven't slept a night on it yet. Instructions say you have to leave it out for a day inflated to stretch the material out. Only problem I see people having is the cost of the batteries for the pump (that aren't included). It takes six C batteries and those things come to the cost of the whole air mattress seeing as how you need to buy at least 2 packs of 4.
