   This is a superb pump with a built in rechargeable battery (charged using the included AC adapter) as well as the option to run from your vehicle 12V (cigarette lighter) socket with the long length low loss cable/plug included. It moves a lot of air (650 L / min) for quick inflation (and deflation) of all sorts and sizes of tubing tubes (I’m using this exclusively for tubing on freshwater) and then carry it with us on the water just in case (it is not waterproof so it must be kept in a dry bag). Note that this is not a high-pressure pump for tires or for final inflation of rigid paddle boards – it is intended for floats, mattresses and the like for which it will inflate to ample pressure. It is rugged, lightweight and powerful with reasonable battery stamina (although in my opinion could easily use larger capacity internal batteries), comes with a variety of nozzles for working with large inflation ports as well as the smaller accessory ports used on the backrests, cooler lids or pool toys etc. It’s a good idea to tie the nozzles to the body of the pump so they can never be separated – see photo. Have used this exact model for two extensive floating seasons before buying this replacement due to accidental water ingress which damaged the charging electronics – even that older unit still works on 12V so it’s not a total loss. I think for about $25 this is a good deal and while there are some very much smaller and more innovative micro-size pumps out there (great for emergencies on the water) for about twice that price, they can’t match the sheer volume (speed of inflation) and pressure that this pump throws out.

   Looks like a good thing. It turned out stronger than I expected. I charged it up and used it. It inflated my 3-person inflatable boat really well and still had power to go. Of course, don’t forget that you must inject the final air pressure with a hand pump.

   This one is a replacement for the one we lost overboard while filling a tube on the boat. We liked it so much we just bought another one. The pump works great, and if the battery is fully charged it will fill a couple tubes or air mattresses. Its Achilles’ heel is it takes forever to charge using the cigarette lighter adapter in the car. I mean, it will not fully charge overnight. My SUV is old and the cigarette lighters are always powered. The charge LED did finally turn green and we stowed it back in the box. A few days later, we needed it to pump up an air mattress and the pump only lasted a few seconds, then died. We were in a house, but since the pump will not run on 110 VAC, we had to just let it charge and sleep on the hard floor. It was charged by the next morning and it pumped up the mattress fast like it always does. Its a good pump with a few limitations.

    This pump does the job. It was cheaper and easier to purchase this than buy one in-store. The three different nozzles makes it easy to fill whatever you are trying to. We purchased this for our toddler’s travel airbed and it was a breeze to pack. I love that it is plug-in rather than battery operated so I don’t have to buy or remember to pack large batteries. It’s noise level is as to be expected for an electric pump. Pros: plug-in. multiple nozzles, small size Cons: none

    This review is for Intex Quick-Fill Battery Air Pump, 6 C-Cell Battery, Max Air Flow 420 L/min The initial challenge is orientating the six C-Cell batteries into the battery compartment. Unfortunately, the device’s battery compartment has no positive ( + ) or negative ( – ) markings, and the instructions say to reference a picture that is illegible for this purpose. You can play with the batteries, but there is at least one configuration that results in 1/2 power. The lid holds the only clues, which I figured out after swapping the batteries around for a while. The quick version is that the end with the hinge and the end with the latch are the only two points where the Negative (-) side goes up. The remainder of the batteries (despite being right next to each other on opposite sides) are Positive (+) terminals up (see pics). I am taking away a star for this as they should have marked the battery case with the needed orientation markings OR at a minimum provided clear instructions. I have provided a pic showing the batteries inserted and instructions next to the pump for reference. I’d recommend that after you confirm the orientation above woks for you – take a sharpie marker and label each battery spot to save you some time when you need to change out the batteries again. Once the batteries are properly inserted, it quickly fills my Klymit V Hammock Pad. The pump offers the ability to move the adapter (if needed) and use the intake port to help quickly deflate your item if desired. I wouldn’t exactly call this pump ‘light weight’ as it has 6C batteries, but my scale shows that without the batteries inserted, pump with the adapter attached is 10.4 oz / 297.2g. Since this is a car camping tool, that’s an very acceptable weight.
