   We like that you can disassemble them for easy carry. They are made well and work rowing the pool boats, however the paddles are hard so we had to watch that no one got whacked in the head while playing

   For the end of summer sale it was worth the purchase I felt the plastic oar it’s self was really thin but for what we used it for it didnt break .it does come in half so there’s a smaller one for someone to paddle behind you . Got us through 5 hrs. of paddling in water we wouldn’t get out and swim thru

   We have a Seahawk 4 and broke a paddle last year. We needed a replacement for our river trip this year and these worked perfectly. The only downside is unscrewing the shafts can be hard after use, because that have to be tight or the flex too much. Took a little muscle to unscrew them after the trip.

   Bought this since I had Intex boats no oars and I love them. Time will tell how the hold up but so far I’m pretty happy. My only complaint would be that the yellow fin ( dont know what it’s called) is on the thinner side so if anything will give out it may be just that. They come in pieces you assemble which makes it easy to store. They are light weight, long enough for small inflatables. Would recommend as a replacement or backup

   I bought these to for the kids to use with their giant Intex float in the swimming pool. They are perfect size for them to play around. I do not think they are sturdy enough for a river but playing in a lake or pool they are perfectly fine.

   Not a bad set of paddles for the price. You can even make a double-bladed paddle by using three of the four included shaft sections. The blades are rather small, if you can live with that. Compared to a larger paddle, you may find that the blade moves through the water nicely, but extra strokes will certainly be required to move your raft over any distance. All the pieces came in a heavy vinyl carry bag with handles, however the shafts are subject to permanent warping in a hot car, particularly if you leave any weight on them . Please see photo.

   It is difficult to rate these paddles because part of them are worthy of 4-5 stars and part only 1-2 stars. The workmanship and the way that they assemble is very good. They stay together and the poles are sturdy. We even took them apart and made them into a kayak paddle (albeit a short one – it would be cool if they had included an additional connector section to enable making a regular length kayak paddle). That said, however, the yellow paddle part is flimsy and bends even with a child’s use. Even with a fairly light stroke, the tips of the paddles bent backwards and flopped in the water, making paddling much less effective. They just weren’t strong enough to stand up to any real use. They work fine for playing in the pool.

    Absolute bargain price canoe paddles that can be converted to child’s kayak paddle.

    Bought these for my 7 yr old niece who was keen to paddle with us in our 3 person kayak, but we didn’t want to spend £30+ on more serious kids’ paddles.

    I trawled the internet for a reasonable quality kids paddle for occasional use but couldn’t find anything. So I took a chance on these, having shafts coming in 2 parts, being able to be converted. And I was right. If you just use one part of each shaft and screw them together with a paddle at each end, you can assemble them as a small double ended kayak paddle, approx 120cm in length. The quality is decent enough and is perfect size for a small child, maybe up to 8/9 years old. We’ve only taken her kayaking on the canal but they got a fair bit of bashing around and cane out unscathed. For leisure use, these are excellent value for money and even come in their own carry case.

    First, I must say that I love Intex products.
    Every Intex pool/water product we have bought has lasted season after season.
    So when I was searching for oars on intexdiscount.com and saw the Intex brand I didn’t hesitate to order them.
    The are made extremely well and we are looking forward to hours of fun using them.

    I ordered a very large 6 person raft that through user reviews was very clear would be a pain in the rear if there is not something to help you steer it. So.. intexdiscount.com offered these as an ‘add on’ item. I absolutely think they are worth the add-on price of $5 or $4.70 whatever I paid for them. Are they plastic? Yes. Will they hold up on a lake? Most likely… Would you want these to navigate rapids? Um no. The negative reviews are always interesting to read and I wonder what expectations are had for this kind of product. They got the job done, they are long enough and sturdy enough to be effective on a lake with 4 grown adults and 3 children on a raft. I would recommend them.. but probably not if you are planning on using them for kayaking or something more stressful to the product.
